CARRYING ON

Having started to write, it is not always easy to retain the conviction that it's worth carrying on.

You begin to ask yourself why you are doing it?

For other people's pleasure?

For your own pleasure?

To make money?

To find out what you think?

Just for the sake of doing it?

As a hobby?

As a vocation?

Ask yourself which of these motivations applies to you. Are there any others? A clear understanding of what you are doing and why you are doing it will help you to carry on when your work isn't going well or when there is discouragement from the outside world.

Good Luck
