The northern part of the West Challacombe sett. Worked for iron 1796-1802, 1825 (Royal Stannary and British Mining Assoc.), 1855-56 (North Devon or Combmartin New Iron Mine), and again in 1867 (Hangman Hill Iron Mining Co.). (Atkinson 1997, p. 32-3)
