Adit (on North Seam) from rear of barn in 'Ship on Launch' car park, with tramway adit directly above and immediately east of old railway line. Shaft on hillside above, site of Cornish beam pumping engine house and water balance lifting wagons to level of tramway and bridge direct to quay. Workings extended as far east as the Chapel Park Mine. Anthracite working 1846 to circa 1868. (Claughton, Spring 1976)
