Most official publications of the European Union's institutions are received, except for limited distribution documents (SEC documents) and scientific reports (EUR), and may be used by members of the University and anyone requiring information about the European Union.
All European Union periodicals are shelved in alphabetical order of title according to the institution issuing them. A short title list of current periodicals with shelf locations may be consulted at the Law Library issue desk. The bays in the EDC are numbered E1-E16 and serial locations refer to these. Full details of holdings are available on the Libertas catalogue.
All books and pamphlets are catalogued and classified with the textbooks on European law (classmark KV). Use the Library's computerised catalogue, Libertas to locate them.
Periodicals dealing with European Community law (eg Common Market law reports, Common Market law Review and European law review) are shelved at the beginning of the book sequence (E7). Current issues are displayed with the legal periodicals in the main area of the Law Library.
Most of the material in the EDC is for reference only. Photocopiers are available in the Law Library. Please return all items to their correct place on the shelves when you have finished with them.
For further information consult the Guide to European Community Publications
For details of information available on the World Wide Web use the European Information and Law pages.
Lists of Recent accessions December 1998 and EU publications June 1998 and December 1998 are available as well as a complete list of Periodical holdings.
