Below are photographs of Vietnam taken during a three week visit in December 2011. Highlights of the journey include :-
- Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarter of Hanoi
- The frontier town of Sa Pa, close to the Chinese border for some trekking
- World heritage site of Halong Bay, featuring around 2000 islets
- Hue another heritage site famous for the citadel and tombs of several emperors along the Perfume River
- The old town of Hoi An
- Seaside resort town of Nha Trang
- Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam and commonly known as Saigon
