Below are photographs taken in November 2005 of the second visit to mainland China. This time no luggage went missing and the queue for immigration at Shanghai was just under an hour. Shanghai railway station (a place similar to Mos Eisley where you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy) was the starting point of several destinations such as Hangzhou, Ningbo and Putuo Shan. Guilin was reached by flying rather than train from Shanghai's Hongqiao domestic airport.
