I am a senior research associate in the College of Life and Envrironmental Sciences at the University of Exeter, working with Tim Lenton, Hywel Williams, Stuart Daines, and Phil Underwood on a Leverhulme funded project, where the main aim is to work towards the improved representation of ecological and evolutionary processes in marine ecosystem models.
Prior to moving to the University of Exeter, our research group was based in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, which is also where I completed my PhD, working under the supervision of Andrew Watson and Corinne Le Quéré as part of the MarQUEST project. My main research interests lie in the fields of evolutionary biology, marine ecology, and, more generally, Earth System Science. In particular, as part of the EVolutionary Ecosystem (EVE) project, I have been exploring the use of individual-based models as a tool for studying adaptation in marine microorganisms.
