About Me
Welcome to my homepage. I am a
Lecturer in Computer Science in the
School of Engineering and Computer Science at the
University of Exeter in the UK.
Research Interests
My research interests are in novel methods of
evolutionary computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence as
applied to engineering and bioinformatics problems.
I currently have PhD students working on the
application of nature-inspired computing (NIC) to risk modelling in water
distribution networks and evolutionary robotics. Two new students
will be starting in October working on the use of data mining and NIC in
systems biology.
