Research
results: information for participants
Much psychological research depends on volunteer
participants. Whenever we ask people to help us by filling in questionnaires,
carrying out experiments, being interviewed, or whatever it is, we try
to offer them the opportunity to learn the results of the study.
This can be quite difficult, however, when we are also promising people
that their participation will be entirely anonymous and confidential.
This web page is being set up to give access to short reports of research
we have carried out, so that volunteer participants can be invited to look
in on it after the study is over, and find out more. Projects will
be added to the list below as they are completed. Please remember
that the report won't appear the day after you have sent back your questionnaire
- it takes some time for the results to be put together and the statistical
work and the writing to be done. But we will try to get something
available here within 4-6 weeks of sending out a survey.
