This document will be part of the U.S. action item report in May 1996, but has been forwarded to the list as a courtesy, based on the timing requirements. Simply put, electronic source is not available, but pointers to the relevant documents so that Denmark can finish estimating the sizing of the possible LIS work are included. best regards, stephe ------ PASC SEC N587 WG15 TAG N570 SC22/WG15 N_____ Page 1 of 1 17-Jan-1996 To: U.S. WG15 TAG From: PASC Vice-Chair Technical Editting Subject: Request for text in electronic form for most current merged 1003.1 There exists today a draft document that is a merge of POSIX.1b (Realtime), POSIX.1c (Threads), POSIX.1i (TC from .1, .1b, merge), onto ISO/IEC 9945-1:1990. This document has been prepared by an IEEE technical editor, and is being actively editted by IEEE Standards Office staff, in preparation for forwarding to ITTF for its inspection, and ANSI approval leading to IEEE publication as IEEE 1003.1, 1996 Edition and ISO publication as ISO/IEC 9945-1:1996. Having discussed the release of the electronic text with the IEEE Standards Office, we both feel it would be unwise to allow any access to the electronic form of the document during this critical period. As the Danish MB wants the electronic form to use in its investigations of project size for preparing an LIS version of this work, and the following documents contain the same information, I would encourage the Danish MB to obtain copies of: -- IEEE Std 1003.1b-1993 (the merged 9945-1:1990 and IEEE 1003.1b-1993), -- IEEE Std 1003.1c-1995 (D10 was the approved draft, circulated for PDAM registration and ballot in November 1994), -- IEEE Std 1003.1i-1995 (D2.0 was the approved draft, circulated as an SC22 Technical Corrigenda [SC22 N1895] in July 1995),
