Date: Fri, 1 May 1998 09:06:25 +0200 Subject: (SC22WG15.1271) Canadian Action Item Report As promised here is our updated action item report: Canadian Action Item Report 9710-06 Canada, Japan, and Netherlands - Review the Web pages, especially the document on Cultural Convention Specifications and report any comments to Keld Simonsen. (Rolled over from 9610-33 and 9705-15.) CLOSED. No comments. Cultural Convention Specifications are more properly the work of another working group in Canada and this has been referred to them for any further action. 9710-15 All Member Bodies - Seek volunteers for the post of WG15 Convener, to run for three years from September 1998 at the latest. Applicants should have sponsorship from their employers and from their National Bodies. (Rolled over from 9705-55.) OPEN. While we have sought volunteers for this position, none have as yet come forward. We recommend that this item be held open until the SC22 meeting in August. 9710-17 Member Bodies - Review and Comment on the proposed disposition of comments in WG15 N754 to the project editor (Stephe Walli) prior to the editing meeting. CLOSED. No comments on the proposed disposition of comments. We recommend acceptance of this document and that the work now be moved forward. 9710-22 Canada and Denmark - Investigate whether resources can be committed to further the System Administration Overview (1387.1) project. (See 9705-41.) CLOSED. No longer relevant, this project was withdrawn before we were able to respond. 9710-30 Member bodies - Research the issues and problems involved and potential solutions that could be implemented with respect to online WG15 operations. CLOSED. Canada recommends that WG15 continue to meet at least every 9-12 months as face-to-face meetings are usually much more efficient for moving certain types of work forward. However, all documents should be distributed electronically and email balloting should be used between meetings so as not to delay approvals due to the reduced meeting frequency. Dave -- D. J.
