9710-01 Japan - Provide URLs and other information they would like
     posted to the WG15 web page (Rolled over from 9510-08 on National
     Bodies and 9605-01 and 9610-01 and 9705-01 on Japan and Netherlands.)

=> Open
	(We're seeking home under http://www.itscj.ipsj.or.jp/.)

9710-02 Denmark and Japan - Work with Willem Wakker to figure out how
     National Profiles could be incorporated into TR-10000. (TR10000 now
     handled directly by JTC1.) (Rolled over from 9605-33, 9610-13, and
     9705-06.)

=> Open

9710-06 Canada, Japan, and Netherlands - Review the Web pages,
     especially the document on Cultural Convention Specifications and
     report any comments to Keld Simonsen. (Rolled over from 9610-33 and
     9705-15.)

=> Comments are in the following

	"Specifications for Cultural Conventions" seems almost equal to
	the collection of locale specifications in POSIX. We see no values
	in standardizing them by yet another specification.
	If all standards including POSIX are forced to remove existing
	cultural specifications and refer to the "Specifications for
	Cultural Conventions", making the specifications will be
	significant work. However, it is unlikely that POSIX
	at least will be amended as such.

9710-15 All Member Bodies - Seek volunteers for the post of WG15
     Convener, to run for three years from September 1998 at the latest.
     Applicants should have sponsorship from their employers and from their
     National Bodies. (Rolled over from 9705-55.)

=> No volunteers from Japan

9710-17 Member Bodies - Review and Comment on the proposed disposition
     of comments in WG15 N754 to the project editor (Stephe Walli) prior to
     the editing meeting.

=> Comments are in the following

	We see no response to the proposed LC_CTYPE extension for
	locale-specific character mapping which was written in
	(SC22WG15.847) and (POSIX.2 99) Comments on .2b Japanese proposals.
	The extension is necessary to implement the C language standard
	functions wctrans() and towctrans(). We're sorry if the latest draft
	has such functionality already.

9710-30 Member bodies - Research the issues and problems involved and
     potential solutions that could be implemented with respect to online
     WG15 operations.

=> No problems currently
