DS is fasttracking DS/ENV 12005, the cultural registry, which also provides a registry for POSIX locales and charmaps. 3. A first draft of TR 14766 - Guide for National POSIX profiles and POSIX locales has been produced Old Action Items from Munich, October 1996: 9705-02 Denmark - report at the next WG15 meeting what the state of their LIS work is, and what they expect to be able to accomplish. (rolled over from 9510-23, 9505-24, 9605-05 and 9610-03). We expect to be able to accomplish a standard in LIS byilding on the merged POSIX.1. 9705-05 Netherlands and Denmark - have their technical experts identify any specific elements of the Single UNIX Specification that should be included in POSIX. (rolled over from 9605-46 and 9610-09). We have a proposal for POSIX-2, and will give information on POSIX-1 later. 9705-06 Denmark and Japan - work with the WG15 SGFS liaison (Willem Wakker) to figure out how National Profiles could be incorporated into TR- 10000. (rolled over from 9605-33 and 9610-13). Open. 9705-07 Denmark - create a proposed scope and purpose for new IEEE 1003.2 utilities, which can then be used for both an SC22 work item and an IEEE PAR. (rolled over from 9605-36 and 9610-15). Done. 9705-08 Editor of POSIX National Profiles and Locales (Keld Simonsen) - incorporate N658 into that document. (rolled over from 9605-48 and 9610-16). Done. 9705-22 Keld Simonsen - Forward SC22WG15.859 to Development body (1003.2), pointing out that this is where WG14 sees possible alignment for additional features which 1003.2 might want to consider in their future work, specifically currency and ISO date formats. (rolled over from 9610-48). Done with CD 14652. Also WG14 N780 applies. 9705-23 Project Editor (Keld Simonsen) - Prepare an example of an LIS function of 9945-1 using both IDL and LID. Distribute these examples to WG15, requesting Member Bodies to review and comment on the work. (rolled over from 9610-52). In progress. New Action Items from Exeter, May 1997: 9705-28 Keld Simonsen - Ensure the electronic version of P1003.13 profiles presentation, emailed by Jim Oblinger, is made available on the WG15 pages. Done. 9705-29 Keld Simonsen - Ensure the summary of the option annexes in the POSIX standards as presented in N732 be made availbale on the WG15 web pages. Done. 9705-31 see 9705-22 9705-33 Member Bodies - provide feedback to Head of US delegation (Roger Martin) by 11-July as to whether work on 1003.1m (Checkpoint/Restart) and 1003.1p (Resource Limits) should be pursued, and whether new, additional manpower can be provided - lack of extra manpower will result in withdrawal of sponsorship of the IEEE PARs and hence work by the US development body. Denmark: in favour of pursuing the projects, but no significant manpower available. 9705-36 Keld Simonsen - apply a global edit to the interpretations responses so that they refer to the appropriate ISO standards, and add the resulting document to the WG15 'web pages in place of the IEEE-oriented version. Done. 9705-41 MBs - consider and report to the next WG15 meeting whether 22.21.03.01 (-) System Administration Overview {1387.1/7+} be withdrawn, or whether they can make available resources to progress the work. MBs should note that JTC1 regulations currently indicate that five MBs are necessary to endorse work on a proposed NP. Denmark: some resources could be available. 9705-46 All Project Editors - ensure they have or obtain the current copy of their documents' source, for archive purposes. Keld Simonsen: done for 9945-0 and 14766. 9705-55 MBs - seek volunteers for the post of WG15 Convener, to run for three years from September 1998 at the latest.
