MEETING MINUTES
JTC1/SC22/WG15 Rapporteur Group on Conformance Testing May 10, 1995
University of Twente, Enchede, The Netherlands

1.0 Opening of Meeting
1.1 Welcome, Introductions, and Roll Call
The meeting was opened by Jerry Powell at 1600 on May 10. 1995.

1.2 Selection of recording secretary
Jerry Powell volunteered to take the minutes.

1.3 Selection of drafting committee
It was decided that such a small committee could effectively use the
whole committee for drafting.

1.4 Adoption of agenda
The agenda was approved without change.

1.5 Approval of minutes
The minutes from the last meeting in Whistler, British Columbia were
approved.


2.0 Reports on CT Activities
SD003 shows Conformance Testing status.


3.0 Conformance Testing Experts - Presentations
There were no expert presentations.


4.0 Status, Liaison, and Action Item Reports
4.1 SC22/WG15 Action Items
WG15 ACTION 9505-09 Review and comment on WG15 Document number N575.
	1. Review and Comment on EWOS Technical Guide on Open System
	   Environment Conformance Testing To be discussed at an RGCT
	   meeting scheduled for July 11, 1995 and via email if EWOS
	   provides the document on time, else it will be handled via email.

	2. Review and comment on EWOS Technical Guide on Conformance
	   Testing Vocabulary To be discussed at RGCT meeting scheduled for
	   July 11, 1995 and via email if EWOS provides the document on
	   time, else it will be handled via email.

	3. Identify other sources of POSIX testing terminology and
	   definitions No other sources were identified. RGCT requests that
	   WG15 RIN evaluate the completeness and accuracy of the EWOS/EGCT
	   documents.

	4. Identify WG15 representative to attend EWOS/EGCT June 27, 1995
	   and present CT status James de Raeve of X/Open has been
	   identified to present this information with the assistance of
	   Jerry Powell.


5.0 New Business
5.1 Canada is concerned that the 2003 draft standard is not complete
enough to meet the needs of Conformance Assessment laboratories.

5.2 Discussed the termination of the RGCT. It was decided that Test
Method status of PASC activities is presented to WG15 via the SD11 and
ConvenerŐs reports and there was no need to duplicate this effort. It was
agreed that the action items assigned of late could just as easily been
given to the US and allow the PASC Test Methods groups to provide input.
The RGCT has not been providing any value add. Based on this discussion
it was decided to present a resolution to the WG15 requesting that the
RGCT be terminated or refocus the group to work on something that the
WG15 deems will provide value add.


6.0 Review/Approval of RGCT Action Items
9310-01 CLOSED - Jerry Powell to get copies of the ISO procedures for
defect management and interpretation. Jerry Powell to send out the
information gathered to the mailing list for review and comment at the
next meeting.

9410-01 CLOSED - Roger Martin to gather information about the mission and
activities of JTC1 SWGCA. Overcome by events.

9505-01 OPEN - Canada to review the latest 2003 draft to determine the
completeness of the draft standard to meet the needs of conformance
assessment bodies .


7.0 Review/Approval of RGCT Resolutions
9505-01 The RGCT believes it has completed its assigned work items and
invites WG15 to terminate the rapporteur group, or if WG15 believes there
is useful work to be done in Applications Conformance Testing WG15 is
invited to redraft the RGCT Terms of Reference.


8.0 Closing Process
8.1 Document Number Assignment
	N066 - Minutes from the Twente meeting.
	N067 - Agenda for the next RGCT meeting.

8.2 Future Meeting Considerations
Based on getting the EWOS EGCT documents a meeting will be held with the
PASC Test Methods group on July 11, 1995 at Nashua, NH to discuss these.
Electronic discussion will take place so that RGCT status in October will
reflect the results of the review.

8.3 Prepare Rapporteur Report (WG15 Action Item 9305-58)
	o Forward SD003 showing Conformance Status
	o RGCT requests that WG15 RIN reviews the EWOS/EGCT documents
	  listed in WG15 N575 for accuracy.
	o RGCT recommends that WG15 terminate the rapporteur group.
