Business 3.1 I18N in POSIX 2b, N137 --All of section 3.1.x have been removed to an issues list to address resolution. 3.1.1 extended identifiers--WG15 N416, N420 document states that existing practices would be broken. N420 forwarded to PASC for review ;Response indicated that it would not adopt without further support from Denmark. Keld will provide N566 for next meet--CEN registration procedures on cultural conventions. 3.1.14 regexps--removed to issues list--closed addressed in annex h. 3.1.15 proposal for introduction of term "symbolic letter' N145 moved to 3.3 3.1.16 width of characters display, Width_default addressed on annex H open with Japanese proposal. 3.2 National profiles and locales 3.2.1 Guide for national profiles and locales, N121--sent out for JTC-1 Ballot --WG15 will have to make decision where to place work item. 3.2.2 national profiles and locales: JP, CA, DK, GB: developing JIS 9945-1 with Japanese national profile. Denmark providing english text to show registration authority. 3.2.3 WG15 collection of profiles, locales and charmaps--additional mate- has been added. Keld will provide written report. 3.2.4 CEN registry, N 127--CEN has voted on the registry and will be finished in Oct., 1995. This will provide a place for registration of national profiles and locales.(how will other non-CEN members react to this)? 3.3 Report of character.byte terms provided by Japan--closed N 145 proposal for the introduction of the term symbolic letter from the Netherlands was discussed. 3.4 WG15 AI 9505-41 developing guidance for use of 10646 in POSIX interfaces. Denmark has delivered a document and lively discussion has ensued concerning how RIN will deliver the document with changes to WG15. There will be an e-mail ballot for forwarding this document to WG-15. 3.5 WG20 framework review PDTR 11017, N136--No comments were noted from RIN to WG15.(closed) 3.6 Review of ToR& Pow, N122--No changes to Terms of Reference or program of work to report back to WG15.(closed) Discussion concerning usefulness of RIN and continued existence or referring the work back to WG15. Discussion of RIN's existence will take place at WG15. 3.7 Respond to WG15 15 action item 9505-17- N558 concerns about N 515.- MB's take N558 back to their respective organizations for comments and review for discussion at next WG15 meeting.--Dave Cannon will address N558 against our issues list. 3.8 WG15 action item 9505-18 Produce a paper concerning Keld `s liaison activities and concerns. IEEE PASC(posix) WG20 list: 11017, 10176, I18 specifications CEN TC304 list: Cult Reg, EU 10646, Char-Set , User Requirements Transformation, WG15 list: POSIX SGFS list: Profiles RIN list: .2b, .i18n profiles, i18n collations In role of liaison activities Mr. Simonsen represents the group that is presenting the material to the other group and defends that position. Agenda items discussion on 10646, discussion on N558 and N551 documents. 6. closing procedures 6.1 future meeting considerations --Discussion of issues list on RIN agenda 6.2 thanks to host ACTION ITEM LIST 9505-01 WG20 Liaison statement for addressing WG20 comments to N113 to be generated by WG20 liaison. 9505-02 Creation of an issues list moving section 3.1.x to this list and then closing all items addressed via annex h 1003.2 9505-03 Member bodies need to take N558 back for comments and review by member bodies for report back to WG15. RESOLUTIONS 9505-01 Whereas WG15 action item 9595-41 asked RIN to provide guidance for use of IS10646 in POSIX interfaces, Lead Rapporteur will take an e-mail ballot an provide disposition of comments on N146.
