I did so. Closed. Nothing materialized from the discussion, so it needed to be dealt with during the WG15 meeting. 9410-22 Member bodies: Submit names to be included in the synchronization Email list to Keld Simonsen by 18 Nov. 1994. DS did so. See 9410-16 9410-27 Member bodies: Review documents listed in 9410-27. DS: P1003.2b D10: Some things are still missing: 1. N416 needs to be incorporated to cover iso 646 invariant support. 2. Stateful charmaps needs to be addressed 3. Repertoiremap utilities needs to be incorporated. 4. iconv needs further work. 5. substitute as in P1003.2 D7 or D8 needs to be incorporated. 6. Extended Identifiers nedds to be incorporated. 7. Better 10646 support has to be incorporated. 8. CEN POSIX cultural registry needs to be referenced. 9. Some character set refernces in pax needs work. 9410-30 Member bodies: Review SC22/WG15 N511 and provide any feedback to the SC22/WG15 Email distribution list. DS: agree that we need a cheap and easy solution. Current CT is of no use. 9410-32 Member bodies: Provide attendee list for October 1995 meeting to Barry Needham by the May 1995 WG15 meeting. DS: Keld Simonsen will participate. 9410-34 Convener: Determine the current status and scope of the SC22/WG15 liaison to CEN. DS: Formal letter from SC22 secretariat appointing Alain LaBonte and Keld Simonsen from SC22 to CEN/TC304, especially from WG20 and WG15 has been issued. 9410-35 Member bodies: Look at the technical aspects of SC22/WG15 N444 and the applicable portion of SC22/WG15 N515, in time for the May 1995 SC22/WG15 meeting. DS: Regarding N515 9405-55 response: We beleive the approach in general is the right one: To enhance the locale and charmap mechanisms. DS proposes to: 1. specify a repertoire format, as earlier decided in WG15 and WG20 2. enhance the locale collation weight syntax with comments at the end of lines. 3. specify repertoiremap files for locale and charmap with locaedef, this is a further enhancement of the US recommendation 2 of N515 9405-55 response, 4. There is no need for the proposal 1. in the US contribution, if 1. and 3. above is specified. This is also in line with current X/Open work. The information can still be provided, as a form of comments. 5. DS finds that there may be a problem with EBCDIC and other character sets in the US proposal number 3. Regarding the response in N515 to 9405-56 about "reorder-after" we believe that this is an essential locale managerial tool, which has proved its worth for a number of member bodies, and is in line with current work in CEN/TC304 and WG20. 9410-36 Keld Simonsen: Provide minutes or other pertinent documents from CEN 304 regarding SC22/WG15 N444 and N515. KS: new draft D9 provided. 9410-37 Member bodies: Indicate a preference as to which part of Canada should be considered for the Fall 1997 meeting by the May 1995 meeting. DS: we prefer an eastern location. 9410-43 SC22/WG20 Liaison: WG15 instructs is liaison to SC22/WG20 to forward SC22/WG15 N530 as a liaison statement to SC22/WG20. The SC22/WG20 liaison has forwarded N530 to WG20. closed
