Spencer, WG15 Project Editor Arnie Powell, representing the Canadian National Body Kevin Lewis, representing the United States National Body Fritz Schultz, technical expert from 1003.0 1003.0 brought forward a proposed disposition of comments. This document was reviewed, and was accepted by the group as its recommendation to WG15 to forward to SC22 as a Disposition of Comments (see WG15 N519). Canada expressed concerns that the proposed changes might have an adverse effect upon the consistency of the document. The 1003.0 technical expert represented that 1003.0 attempted to ensure that all changes necessary to preserve consistency were incorporated into the latest draft of 1003.0, which is being made available to WG15 to forward for DTR ballot if WG15 accepts the proposed disposition of comments. It was agreed that the DTR ballot would catch any inconsistencies that might remain. 9945-1 Interpretations ====================== The WG15 Project Editor has received several interpretations for 9945-1. The Project Editor will forward to WG15 a Defect Report with proposed resolutions by 1994 January. Process for developing disposition of comments ============================================== The Project Editor (PE) would like to propose a default process for handling the development of future disposition of comments (DoC). When WG15 decides to develop a DoC, it will task the PE to hold an editorial meeting. The PE will ensure that a proposed DoC is created, and will contact appropriate technical experts and interested parties and invite them to an editorial meeting. WG15 will specify any specific individuals and groups that WG15 wants included in this process. The proposed DoC will be delivered by the PE to WG15. In some cases WG15 may decide to authorize the PE to forward the developed DoC directly to SC22 rather than delivering it to WG15. This will be the exception rather than the rule. This process will ensure that all national bodies have the greatest opportunity to participate in the development of DoCs.
