WG15/N377 RGSEC Meeting Heidelberg, 11.05.93 Attendees Lionel Boiteau - Canada: <256%dcsem%revcan@uunet.uu.net> Barry Needham - USA: Ron Elliott - Germany: 1. Admin Barry raised the question as to the scope of the work of the Rapporteur group. JTC1 Directive 1.5.8 require a rappor- teur group to be active between meetings to accomplish a certain task of work. After that is accomplished the rapporteur group ceases to exist. This means that a new scope of work has to be defined and it should be something which is accomplishable within a short period of time. A definable Scope should be created before the October 1993 RGSEC meeting. E-mail will be used to discuss this scope. Suggestions are to facilitate the movement of P1003.6 into the international arena. 2. POSIX Security Extensions Draft 13 closed with around 2600 comments. They are at around 60% approval rate. The "mask" will be back in. There will be changes to privilege and multi-level direc- tories. Draft 13 has been circulated to SC21 and SC27 for Review and Comment with return date 30.06.93. Distributed Services has been started as an official POSIX working group. 3. Liaison Activities SC21 and SC27 have been mailed copies of Draft 13. 4. New Business - Nothing 5.
