[Ynk's note: 1) See N306, 2) date extended to May 1, 1993.] Japan has no specific feedback on this. | Action 9210-8: Japan: Send a letter of invitation to WG15 Convenor re | hosting spring 1994 WG15 meeting. (open action 9205-27). ITSCJ has approved to host the SC22/WG15 spring meeting in 1994. The action to send an invitation letter to Convenor will be completed in a couple of weeks. On a related note, ITSCJ is requesting Convenor to inform back of the actual meeting date ASAP. | Action 9210-17: Member Bodies: Nominate candidates for the position of | Liaison to ECMA TC33. (open action 9205-59). Japan has no nomination. | Action 9210-21: Member Bodies: Identify experts who could participate in a | meeting on character sets and character set concepts in | Copenhagen, April 21-23, 1993. Input should be sent to the | WG15 convenor by December 1st. Done. Japan sent an expert who represented the Japanese SC22 committee. | Action 9210-22: Member Bodies: Review WG15/N330 and provide feedback | through their RIN rapporteurs. Done. The document WG15/N330 itself [titled "Japanese comments on POSIX.2b/D4"] was submitted by Japan for other member bodies' review and feedback. | Action 9210-23: Member Bodies: Bring the issues of stateful encoding within | the new WG14 activities to the attention of their national | experts, with special care given to issues that may conflict with | 9945-2. Japan has not completed this action yet. We are still evaluating several approaches, one of which is a newly introduced set of functions by XoJIG as o*-functions. | Action 9210-27: Member Bodies: Review and comment on areas of mutual | interest between WG15 and SC21 contained in WG15 N324 | (SC22/N1178). Forward comments to both SC21 and | SC22/WG15. Not yet completed. | Action 9210-30: Member Bodies: Comment on the proposed response to the | SC27 liaison request in time for its transmission to SC27. No action, simply because the proposed response has not been circulated yet. | Action 9210-39: Member Bodies: Review N302 and N305 and provide input to | the US regarding any concerns or recommendations that they | may have regarding synchronisation as soon as possible. Work | will be done on this at the Jan. 10 1993 TCOS meetings. Japan has no specific input on this. | Action 9210-40: Member Bodies: Nominate candidates for the position of Lead | Rapporteur for RGCT in time for selection at the May 1993 | SC22/WG15 meeting. Japan has no nomination. | Action 9210-49: Member Bodies and Liaisons: Offer specific recommendations | on how profiles can be constructed in areas where | standardisation work is incomplete, and where there are | insufficient standards to meet fully the user need. (Resolution | 210). Japan has no specific recommendations at this moment. | Action 9210-64: Member Bodies: Consider the advisability of registering IEEE | P1003.5-1992 as a Type 2 Technical Report. (Resolution 221). Japan has no specific comment on this subject. | Action 9210-74: Member Bodies: Reply directly to the Chair of the Ad Hoc | committee, (Lorraine Kevra) before 1 Feb. 1993 stating their | opinions in respect to questions 4,5,8, and 9 in the SC22 Cross | Language Questionnaire. (Resolution 226) Done. See the SC22WG15.198 email for Japan's response. | Action 9210-84: Member Bodies: Consider the proposal to modify the | Document Structure Plan by assigning a new number to 9945-3 | and provide feedback to the Project Editor by January 31 | 1993. Not completed yet. Rather, Japan feels that the Document Structure Plan (of 9945-3) should be discussed in conjunction with a) the whole POSIX.7 and POSIX.7.x scope, b) the LIS document plan and with c) various synchronization and harmonization issues between ISO (9945-family) and IEEE (P1003-family).
