RIN RESOLUTIONS from Hamilton, NZ meeting, 1992-05-03/05

Resolution 1: I18N questionaire

Whereas RIN programme of work includes carrying
out survey to capture most of the requirements relevant to
internationalization, and RIN has approved a survey on internationalization;
therefore RIN requests that WG15 forward to SC22 P and O member bodies the RIN
National Conventions Questionaire SC22/WG15 N214 for completion, to be
returned within the next six months thereby resulting in a
better understanding the requirements of different member bodies as described
in the RIN programme of work.

Resolution 2: charmap registry

Whereas there is a need to name and register POSIX "charmaps" as well as
locales; therefore RIN requests WG15 to write to SC22 and copy to WG20,
with reference to document ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG20 N079 that charmaps as
well as locales should be included in the registry produced by WG20.


RESOLUTION 3: ToR and PoW

Whereas RIN Terms of Reference and Programme of Work has been reviewed and
from time to time may require modification; therefore RIN requests
that WG15 approve modifications outlined in HRT 17, a revised RIN
Programme of Work to more accurately reflect present conditions.


RESOLUTION 4: Thanks

RIN thanks the chair, Keld Simonsen; secretary, Ralph Barker; and drafting
committee, Patric Dempster, Keith Hopper; and the host, Keith
Hopper and Roger Hicks.
