Add consideration of items on the Issues Log to Agenda for meetings. 15. Convenor Liaison on Security to SC27. Nominate Kevin Murphy as liaison to SC27. 16. Convenor Timeliness of Meeting Notices. Ensure that meeting notices and draft agenda reach WG15 experts in good time. 18. Convenor Documents TSG-1 N276 and N279 to be circulated. 19. Forward document N086 to the proposed SWG on Security workshop and register a WG15 representative to participate in this workshop. 27. Convenor CIrculation of IEEE P1003.6 Draft for Review and Comments. A copy of this document to be obtained and sent to SC22 for circulation for review and comment. 29. Convenor On Harmonization of CT Development. Distribute to WG15 experts the documents jointly developed by OSF, UI, and X/Open related to the "Phoenix Project" (WG15 N080 and N081) which is intended to facilitate the harmonization of CT development. 30. Convenor Forwarding of Internationalization Documents. Send WG15 N088, N083, N090 and N091 to: SC22 Ad Hoc working group on character sets for review and comment; SC22 new Working Group on Internationalization for review and comment. 31. Convenor Forwarding of Internationalization Documents. Send N083 and N092 to P1003.2 for consideration & N091, N088 and N090 for integration with CD 9945-2.2 33. Convenor Disposition of Ballot Comments DIS 9945-1 and CD 9945-2. Forward documents N085 and N084 (Disposition of Comments on DIS 9945-1 and CD 9945-2) to the appropriate IEEE/CS TCOS working group for editorial guidance. 35. Convenor Request a second CD ballot for CD 9945-2.2 from SC22 (upon receipt of a revised draft of IEEE P1003.2). 42. Convenor Future revision of 9945-1. Forward the following points to the IEEE for consideration for possible inclusion in a future revision of 9945-1: the specification of the TZ string for countries that do not have an official time zone name; to provide a solution for "structured locale" definitions, e.g. different languages in one country. 43. Submit WG15 N076 to the SC22 Secretariat by the end of July 1990 in response to resolution #100 of SC22 N729. 49. Convenor Appointment of Liaison to Ad Hoc Working Group on Character Sets. Nominate Keld Simonsen as liaison to the Ad Hoc working group on character sets. 51. Convenor Request to SC2. Consider: Character name specification should be allowed in lower - (and mixed -) case as well as uppercase only, for the same character description! The historical names for the [curly] braces should replace the term "curly brackets" used by SC2. 52. Forward a revised draft of IEEE & US P1003.2 for registration as CD 9945-2.2. 47. Convenor Synchronization Strategy. Submit WG15 N076 to the SC22 & US Secretariat by the end of July 1990 in response to resolution #110 of SC22 N729. 40. Denmark Provision of Danish Profile. Send updated version of the Danish Profile, in the appropriate format, to the U.S. member body for inclusion in 9945-1. 3. Japan Provide an example of the Japanese Profile. (from Brussels) 17. Member Nomination of additional experts on Security to Rapporteur Bodies Group. (more countries involved). 21. Member Review and Comment. Examine documents P1003.3 pt1, P1003.4a Bodies P1003.6 to ensure that they are correctly formatted, written in an appropriate language/form and can be progressed to CD or PDAM as appropriate. 22. Member Review and Comment. Examine P1003.5 and P1003.9 when Bodies circulated through SC22 to determine whether they are suitable for registration as CD in October 1990 (is underlying language independent model of services sufficient i.e. both adequate and consistent). 28. National On Harmonization of IT Testing Accreditation. Identify Bodies interested national, regional and international organizations and inform them that the next meeting of the RGCT will address areas of potential harmonization and the development of an action plan that leads to a common approach to, and mutual recognition of IT testing accreditation. 32. National Request to Member Bodies to Nominate representatives to the Bodies Rapporteur Group on Conformance Testing (RGCT) and invite additional experts from international, regional and national bodies which are undertaking efforts in CT. 36. National POSIX National Profiles and Internationalization. Contribute Bodies any POSIX National Profiles they have developed to the Rapporteur Group on Internationalization for appropriate action, and to the Working Group on Internationalization for coordination along with a cover letter explaining the profile. 48. National Internationalization. Support the Rapporteur Group on Bodies Internationalization by: Providing to the RG early visibility of ballot comments related to Internationalization via the Convenor, and where possible by electronic mail to WG15RIN@dkuug.dk. This information should be provided at the same time that the ballot comments are provided to the Secretariat. Nominate candidates to serve as liaison to the proposed working group on Internationalization. Provide documents concerning Internationalization which may affect teh work of RIN to the Convenor, to be forwarded to the proposed working group on Internationalization and for use by the RIN; Nominate candidates for Internationalization Rapporteur. 12. Netherlands Provide information about language compatible arithmetic standard for circulation to WG15. 50. OSCRL Ad Hoc OSCRL Rapporteur Group. Organize an ad hoc meeting Rapporteur regarding OSCRL on October 22-23 1990 and invite participants from national bodies and experts. 41. Project Definition of Terms. Seek guidance from SC1 regarding the Editor full ISO definition of the following terms: byte, octet, glyph, character set, coded character set, character repertoire, coded character, multi-byte character, wide characters, unencoded character, graphic character; and publish reply to WG15 experts. 37. RIN POSIX National Profiles. Seek guidance of SC22 Working Group Rapporteur on Internationalization on improvements to the practice of WG15's & Convenor handling of POSIX national profiles. 4. UK Report on work to provide a formal definition of POSIX (9945-1) in VDM-SL or Z. (from Brussels) 5. US Provide a copy of SC24 WG1 report on windowing to go to Convener for distribution. (from Brussels) 6. US Copy of US member body statement on progressing X/Windows as an International Standard to be sent to Convener for distribution. (from Brussels) 8. US Report on the availability of first phase of 1003.0. (from Brussels) 9. US Provide copy of 1003.6 DTLS to go to Cornelia Boldyreff (unless the UK discovers that it is not needed now). 25. US Coordination of Security Related Activities. Review the scope of IEEE/CS POSIX security related activities with regard to the proposed program of work and terms of reference of JTC1/SC27, JTC1/SC21, JTC1/SC18 and their working groups. Identify any areas of potential overlap. Report these findings to WG15 for consideration at its first meeting in 1991. 38. US Special Character Names. Provide a report identifying the names of special characters used in POSIX and their relevance to the work of WG15. Forward it to SC2 for consideration. 39. US Synchronization of Ballot Resolution/Provision of Disposition of Comments. Provide a report for SC22 member body comments. 45. US Request for Language Independence. Pursue with vigour the production of a language independent version of both 9945-1 and P1003.4 in conjunction with a C language binding for each in order that they are eligible for consideration as replacements for 9945-1:1990. 46. US Request for Language Independent 9945-1. Request the IEEE to expedite the completion of a language independent specification of 9945-1 that is precidely functionally equivalent to the existing 9945-1:1990 and provide a C language binding that is syntactically and semantically identical. Provide a detailed status report on this issue including a synchronization proposal at the next meeting of WG15. 13. Vice Chair Issues Log. Start an Issues Log and keep track of issues during meeting (starting issues: should files be overwritten by tar and cpio).
