In general we consider the questionnaire as useful. We have some minor technical and editorial comments. 1. Name etc. We propose to add some further header-information and to separate information concerning identification of the respondent, background of the respondent, and culture. Example: --------------------------------------------------------- Name: Address: Company: Telephone: Fax: E-mail (if available): --------------------------------------------------------- Description of your background as a user (e.g. librarian, typist, scientist): If your are representing a group please give the name of the group (e.g SC22 in Denmark, librarians in Denmark, DEC users): Note: Remember to fill in the list as an average user, and not as a specialist in a particular area. User-specific information can be given as comments. --------------------------------------------------------- Description of the culture. Country described: Locale/culture within the country: Other information about the cultural conventions: Missing classes of conventions that affect that culture particularly: Useful literature etc: --------------------------------------------------------- 2. Numbering the questions and giving the opportunity to respond by check marks: Example: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. Date and time: Dates and times can be converted from an internal representation to external forms. ..... --------------------------------------------------------- Requi- Wan- Use- Not Prio- red ted ful used rity --------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 The month can be represented as: - one or two digit number ...... X 2 - a two digit number............. X 1 - a month name abbreviation....... X 2 - an arbitrary length month name......... X 2 - capitalization of the month name can be varied......
