The first was in conjunction with the The Open Group in Oct ( 22-26 ) that is scheduled to be held in either Amsterdam or London, or with the USENIX conference in Nov ( 5-10 ) to be held in Oakland CA. To my knowledge these are the only suggested sites and dates. In speaking with Andrew, coordinator for The Open Group meeting, and Nick, coordinator of the USENIX meeting they feel that USENIX meeting in Nov is the best location and the one that would be most attractive to WG15 participants. I am seeking inputs from each WG15 national group with their preference for meeting location and ability to attend. In addition there is the problem of a hosting nation. Although the USENIX meeting is being held in Oakland, I don't know that the US is able to host this meeting. A similar problem exists for the The Open Group meeting whether held in London or Amsterdam. We need to resolve this issue within the next month and I welcome all suggestions and comments.
