If so, and if the sec plans to go to Oakland (as seems likely at present), I will need to know room requirements for logistics purposes. The choices at present are: Choice 1: Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC) Oct 14-18, 2001 Daytona Beach Florida. (1 vote, later changed) Choice 2: Usenix Annual Linux Showcase Conference, November 6-10, Oakland CA. (4 votes) Choice 3: Usenix System Admin Conference (LISA) December 2-7, San Diego, CA. (1 vote) Choice 4: Society of Automotive Engineers: September 17-20, Seattle, WA (0 votes) Choice 5: IEEE Headquarters, September 11, Piscataway, NJ (0 votes) Choice 6: IEEE Headquarters, September 14, Piscataway, NJ (2 votes) [the vote counts are mine from a quick perusal of the archives, and in no way official. Several people have in fact voted a 'don't care' vote, and I have not counted them yet]. My expectation is that this will be a short meeting ... as will the SEC. So, the timetable would probably look a little like this: 8.30am - 9.30am US WG15 TAG 9.30am - 1.00pm PASC-SEC 2.00pm - 6.00pm SC22/WG15 on whatever day we choose (I am currently anticipating this date to be Thursday, Nov 8). Please respond ASAP with your preferences, and an indication of whether or not you feel this timetable will work. -- Nick Stoughton Webvan Group Inc Usenix Standards Liaison 650 627 3277 510 366 6176 (cell) > -----Original Message----- > From: Roger Martin [mailto:roger.martin@sun.com] > Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2001 2:39 PM > To: pasc-sec@opengroup.org > Cc: Royster, Curtis; 'Johnson, Lowell G'; 'Lowell Johnson - 2'; > 'pasc-sec@opengroup.org'; 'Diane B Schleicher'; 'Glen Logan' > Subject: (pasc-sec 756) Re: Options for next PASC Meeting > > > Curtis, > > What Open Group meeting are you proposing to meet with Nov > 6-10 and Dec 2-7? > The Fall 2001 Open Group conference in Oct 22-26 in London/Amsterdam. > > WG15 also plans to hold a meeting in conjunction with POSIX > or related > (e.g.Open Group) meeting. > > Choices 5 and 6 conflict with the OMG meeting in Toronto Sept 10-14. > > Here's my order of precedence (primarily based on date, not location): > > Choice 3: Open Group Meeting December 2-7, San Diego, CA. > > Choice 2: Open Group Meeting November 6-10, Oakland CA. > > Choice 1: Oct 14-18, 2001 Daytona Beach Florida. > > Choice 6: IEEE Headquarters, September 14, Piscataway, NJ > > > > I CANNOT attend the following choices for the reasons indicated: > > Choice 4: Society of Automotive Engineers: > September 17-20, Seattle, WA > REASON: JTC 1 SC22 Plenary Kona > > Choice 5: IEEE Headquarters, > September 11, Piscataway, NJ > REASON: OMG Board Meeting Toronto > > > ...roger martin > > > > At 01:53 PM 4/4/01, Royster, Curtis wrote: > >To all, > > > >I like to solicit feedback for SEC members as to where and > when you like to > >hold the next PASC SEC meeting.
