There was much discussion on where such an annual meeting might be held; the US proposed in conjunction with SC22, Denmark and UK would prefer in conjunction with PASC (or perhaps TOG). The agreement is to alternate/rotate between these (SC22/PASC/TOG)." Since then we've held two meetings and exchanged 200 emails most of them administrative in nature and only about 50-60 of those in the past year. While our reduced workload is partly responsible, we have yet to vote on last year's proposed resolutions and we have yet to request a new work item for work that began over a year ago with the establishment of the two rapporteur groups in January 1999. We still have action items open from April, 1998! Clearly annual meetings are inadequate as we seem either unwilling or incapable of conducting substantial email business in the interim. I believe that we should return to semi-annual meetings, preferably in May and October. Could I please have a response from the convenor on when and where the next scheduled meeting is to occur? Thank you. Dave -- D. J. Blackwood Head of Delegation Canada
