The meeting, held in Ottawa, was hosted by Systemhouse and chaired by Mr. Paul Renaud. Of the eighteen people present that day only Glen Seeds and myself remain active in the group. It is interesting to note that at the time there were only two documents being considered at the WG15 level - 9945-1 had just completed DIS ballot and 9945-2 had been approved for registration. However, we expected to be busy as the second meeting was scheduled for less than two months later on November 28, 1989, in Toronto. We've come a long way. Today the Canadian POSIX Working Group no longer meets in person but conducts all of its business via email though participation has declined significantly. Dave -- D. J.
