While you have probably seen these resolutions from WG15 though your liason, I have also been asked as convener to make sure they are provide to The Open Group. I would add the observation that WG15 is looking forward to working with The Open Group in new ways as our understanding of how best to develop the POSIX/UNIX standards improves. Resolution 392 reflects some of this perspective as well, encouraging a common numbering scheme where The Open Group fasttracks related documents. ============================================================ Resolution 98-395 Congratulations to The Open Group WG15 extends its congratulations to The Open Group on the occasion of approval of the first PAS submission as an International Standard. =========================================================== Resolution 98-392 Invitation to The Open Group Whereas there is value in using consistent numbering schemes for related documents, and whereas TOG has submitted and had approved as an IS a PAS submission which is related to a POSIX project but which is numbered differently, therefore, in the spirit of co-operation, WG15 invites TOG in future PAS submissions, where these might best be given a consistent number with current WG15 documents, to request WG15's assistance in obtaining from ITTF an appropriate document number before the PAS ballot. ============================================================= Thankyou Jim Isaak - WG15 Convener --------- mailto:j.isaak@computer.org or inside Compaq: Jim.Isaak@Digital.com
