The aim here is to capture in a form the information that jointly PASC and WG15 want - Please note that as the PASC functional interpretations chair I am not responsible (and neither are The Open Group) for administering the ISO WG15 defect reports - however we have introduced a new procedure including a html form to make the joint process easier. The form now includes both the IEEE Std designation and the ISO Document number (where I know it) so there is no issue here. The IEEE interpretations working groups are filling in the sections of FORM 14 where appropriate. The remaining fields will need to be completed by the responsible WG15 Project Editor when WG15 processes them. As far as I am concerned I have made the changes to satisfy your request. Should WG15 members wish to participate in the interpretations then these are open to all - let me know which groups you are interested in (the list is available on the PASC web site). Item 97-383 The Go Solo 2 CD ----------------------------- This item states: "WG15 suggests that The Open Group include references to both the IEEE and the corresponding ISO/IEC standards in future Open Group documents." The Open Group respectfully points out that the information is already in place within all of The Open Group's publications. See the "Referenced Documents" section within the front matter of each published document (these are the PDF documents on the CD-ROM) See the Referenced Documents section within the book that accompanies the CD-ROM (you'll need to go to the bookstore for that). Also see the Copyright information and sections entitled "Relationship to Formal Standards". best regards Andrew ----- Andrew Josey The Open Group Apex Plaza,Forbury Road, Email: a.josey@opengroup.org Reading,Berks.RG1 1AX,England Tel: +44 118 9508311 ext 2250 Fax: +44 118 9500110
