Please reply directly to Arnold. Best regards Bill Rinehuls ----------------- Message follows --------------------- Dear SC22 Working Group convener, SC22/WG20 has a work item to develop "Internationalization APIs" to access the services described and specified in I18N standards and Technical Reports (e.g. international string ordering, framework for internationalization, specification of cultural conventions). In light of the new emphasis on market relevance and considering that various methods of implementing I18N exist, we would like your input to the following question: If standardized I18N APIs exist, would you use them in programming language standards that your working group develops? We would appreciate your answer by e-mail to Arnold.Winkler@unisys.com before November 5, 1997. Thanks for your cooperation Arnold F. Winkler
