X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] Content-Type: text Content-Length: 2337 Hi all; there are a couple of reasons for this message: . to encourage anyone who has not yet told me they are likely to be coming to the meeting to do so NOW. The cut-off date has passed and I am now living on good-will to keep a couple of room bookings open. In particular I haven't heard anything from Herman - or anyone from the Netherlands. . to let you know that the UK is intending (assuming that final tranches of funds become available) to host an evening out on the Tuesday evening, 20-May. Dress is optional; I won't be wearing mine. . to remind you that the meeting room rate includes all meals, whether you take them or not. From personal experience I can advise you that you are likely to leave a little heavier than when you arrive. . to ask anyone with special dietary requirements to send me details as soon as possible so that Crossmead are brought up to speed. . a few people asked if it might be possible to stay at Crossmead on the Thursday night. I have explained to the booking office that all of you are relying on flight schedules and do not yet have your travel plans fixed - they are holding two or three rooms for that night for those of you who might want them. Please let me know as soon as you can if you wish to stay that extra night. . we are in the process of wiring Crossmead to the Internet this month. I hope to be able to use one of the rooms that we have wired up for the meeting in May, so watch this space - it may be worth bringing along your Ether cards. We expect to be able to support BNC (Cheapernet) and twisted pair connections. . I'm currently planning to provide an HP LaserJet 5MP printer and to hire in a photocopier, just in case Jim can't ship all the necessary paperwork by bulk carrier.
