I'm confused here. I thought the above document was beeing forwarded by the IEEE for ISO fast-track ballot, though I'm not sure exactly at what stage it is. Should I be nagging somebody to make sure this happens? | 2.5 Liaison & Working | 2.5.1 WG9/Ada | No written report. No information I regret that I was not able to attend the meeting. I have tried to keep WG9 up to date on the progress of the POSIX standards, but there was nothing significant new to report. Of course, the well-known discrepancies between the POSIX.1c thread semantic model and the Ada task semantic model -- which are documented in the unresolved objections on coordination ballot from the POSIX.5 WG -- continue to be a sore point. I have passed on the comments of the POSIX.4 WG chair that the Ada language standard should be changed to conform to POSIX.1c. I would also hope WG15 and IEEE PASC also consider corrigenda to POSIX.1c that would reduce this problem. --Ted Baker (as WG9 Liaison) Prof. Ted Baker Department of Computer Science [4019] Florida State University Tallahassee, FL 32306-4019 ___________________________________ phone: 904-644-5452 fax: 904-644-0058 e-mail: baker@cs.fsu.edu
