I suggest you make sure your folks returning a ballot at the SC22 level are informed of any comments, etc. in time to respond to the closing date: SC22 numbers N1895 TC for 9945-1:1990, Letter Ballot closes November 17th Draft is 1003.1i/D2 dated Jan 1995 Note: as a TC ballot, the SC22 P members and JTC1 P members who are not in SC22 all vote on the document. N1896 Concurrent PDAM registration and Ballot for 9945-2 amd 2 Draft is 1003.2b draft 11, dated May 1995 Ballots close on Nov. 17, 1995. Note: member bodies should return TWO ballot forms one approving (or disapproving) registration; the second approving (or disapproving) and making comments on the PDAM content. [Note: we will need to arrange editorial meetings or teleconferences to develop a disposition of comments on these in the early December timeframe.] N1897 Concurrent CDE Registration and ballot of P1387.2 draft 14a, April 1995 [sys admin, software] No, sigh, it does not have an ISO number assigned to it yet (I will shake the Secretariat's tree on this) Ballots Close Nov. 17, 1995 .... again, there are two returns required: one for CD registration, and the other for the CD ballot and comments. N1898 WD distribution to SC22 for review and comment on revision of 13210 [P2003/D6; 5 June 1995] N1901 Summary of voting and comments received on 14515-1; (already notified to WG15 by email) [comments to be addressed from Sweden and UK] =============================================== I will be proposing approval of concurrent CD registration and ballots for 9 documents at the SC22 meeting, based on what we hope will enter that phase in the next 12 months. Two documents have hit the 4 year review window that are not on this list: directory services (which we resolved to have withdrawn at this SC22 meeting anyway) and Fortran binding .... Given the lack of expert resources to pursue the Fortran 90 bindings (and lack of support for the Fortran 77 bindings at the SC22 level) I would expect that there will be a recomendation to withdraw this work item as well. (Obviously if we, or the Fortran committee, want to initiate work here an NP could be submitted and I would expect approval of that; so I don't see any "problem" with withdrawl at this time) PLEASE let me know if you have any comments on these things; and please let your SC22 Delegates know your opinions on these as well. the 9 documents expected for Concurrent CD reg and ballot are: (Actually 8, since the software system admin document is above!) 14515-2 (Test methods for 9945-2; aka 2003.2 the "monster" (1500 pgs)) 9945-1 Amendment for additional real time services 9945-1 Amendment for Security 9945-1 Amendment for Transparent File Access 9945-1 Amendment for Protocol Independent Interface 9945-2 Amendment for security SysAdmin 1387.3 - User sysadmin 1387.4 - print mgmt Thats all for now, Jim
