In the announcement, there is a 100 USD "meeting fee." The use of the term "meeting fee" is incorrect, and I appologize for using it. It should be called a "facility fee." Note that we may not, and we do not, require you to pay this fee to attend the meeting. That would violate JTC1 directives. The facility fee is used to help the host country defray the facilities costs. (Note that in the case of the Annapolis meeting, the actual costs are much higher than the facility fee would cover.) The intent is to set a precedent so that countries with fewer resources can feel comfortable with charging a facility fee to allow them the opportunity of hosting a meeting.
