He indicates that ITTF expects the disposition and updated document within 60 to 90 days from the close of ballot, and that we should plan a path that will provide this result. He also indicates that it is not expected that editorial meetings have the same overhead of notice that is associated with WG meetings, although he sees how that could have gotten into the latest directives by implication. In any case, here is what I suggest we do to address this need: 1) ask all member bodies active in WG15 to provide us with EMAIL copies of any ballot comments so we can get early visability to the issues, and also so that can be used to format a proposed disposition. (specifically, can folks send comments to Hal) 2) ask the .2 group in the U.S. to provide an initial response to these at the July meeting, and have the project editor format that into a proposed "disposition of comments" per our earlier discussions. [PS. it is my understanding that Hal cannot attend the July IEEE meeting] 3) I will distribute the disposition of comments to WG15 for a email/mail letter balloting process; asking for member bodies to indicate any objections/changes with a cut off date. -- objections & proposed changes will be taken into account, and the resulting document forwarded with the revised (if any) 9945-2 though SC22 to ITTF for publication. All of this should occur before the Oct. meetings [target date based on ITTF guidelines would be submission to ITTF by the first of September or so.] Please let me know if you see any problems with this. National Bodies: please provide the email input, and be prepared to deal with the disposition of comments document in the August timeframe with a very short window for action. Thanks Jim
