Unfortunately this has happened. Kevin Murphy has indicated that he will not be able to continue in that role. I would like to invite all National Bodies to see if they have a candidate to serve in the Lead rapporteur role. The next meeting of the group is scheduled to overlap with the IEEE TCOS meeting in the Netherlands in Oct. Since close coordination with the 1003.6 group is a key goal of the rapporteur group (and enabling international participation in that process), it is my suggestion that the Oct. meeting continue. I would ask Ron Elliott if he could provide a proposed agenda for that meeting since he is actively involved in the 1003.6 work as well. If rapporteur group members feel the meeting should be canceled we could do that, although this is the meeting for 1992 where we are trying to get the WG15 and IEEE meetings "back-to-back" so folks can attend both.
