He is inviting folks to speak at the UniForum conference &/or attend ... the week after the WG15 meeting in New Plymouth. And has suggested we hold a POSIX Seminar, probably in Aukland, on May 4th ... I would encourage the folks attending who are heavily involved (or chairing) POSIX Standards development projects to let Martin know if you can support a seminar on the 4th (and if location is a factor) .... obvivous candidates for this are: Martin (.7), Roger (.3), Donn (.1), Hal (.2); but perhaps you can bring some additional perspectives to the table .... in any case let Martin know if you want to present, OR if you want to attend. I've forgotten over Christmas. I'm Martin Lennon President of UniForum NZ and Chairman of the newly formed NZ POSIX WG. I'm working closely with Keith assisting him organising the Hamilton meeting and also any associated events we can organise. We would like to organise a 1/2 or 1 day seminar on POSIX using any people coming to the meeting. SANZ and UniForum NZ will hopefully cooperate in organising this. From the timetable of the meeting it should probably be on Monday (morning if just 1/2 day) 4th. Ideally it should be in Auckland, the main population centre. This is a nearly 2 hour drive from Hamilton so is difficult if your meeting starts in the afternoon of Monday. We could hold it in Hamilton but I would expect a much smaller audience. Please let me have your thoughts. UniForum NZ annual conference is May 14-16 (ie the end of following week). I hope that some from the WG meeting might stay on and present papers at the conference. I know from Keith that you are unable to stay on. But I would be grateful if you could pass on the invitation. Conference is in New Plymouth, a 3 hour drive or a flight via Auckland.
