Closed. No action was required, however since that time the following changes have occurred:
Canada: CAC-JTC1-SC22-WG15@scc.ca ---------------------------------- *Dave Blackwood Phone: 613-957-9305 5/95 Information Highway Initiatives Division Fax: 613-952-1095 Revenue Canada email: email@example.com Room 2169, 875 Heron Road Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0L5 Canada
Patric Dempster may be dropped from the Canadian delegation list as he is not expected to attend further meetings for the forseeable future. Also it may be useful to list national bodies' web site addresses in SD6. Canada's web site address is http://www.scc.ca/jtc1/sc22/wg15/.
9610-30 National Bodies - review Draft 8.1 of 1003.1f (SC22 N2212) for market relevance and reply to U.S. HoD (Roger Martin) by 1996.12.31.
Closed. No comment.
9610-33 National Bodies - Review the Web pages, especially the document on Cultural Convention Specifications and report any comments to Keld Simonsen.
Closed. The web pages were reviewed and the document on Cultural Convention Specifications was not found. No other comments.
9610-37 National Bodies - inform Martin Kirk if you want a CD-ROM (Windows version) of Single UNIX Specification.
Closed. No action required. Since the publication of a new edition of the Single Unix Specification was imminent, it was felt that a copy of the new edition, when it became available, would be of greater value.
9610-41 National Bodies - Send any nominations for a Project Editor for JTC1 22.21.04.01.01 (IEEE 1003.1j) Advanced Real Time Extensions to the convener by 1996.12.31.
Closed. Canada has no nominations for a Project Editor.
9610-43 National Bodies - To provide any input they would like in the synchronization plan, to the convener by 1996.12.31.
Closed. Canada notes that section 4.0 Interpretations has not been strictly followed up to now and requests a plan of action to bring this area up to date. There are a substantial number of IEEE interpretations that WG15 has not processed through the ISO/IEC JTC1 defect report process.
9610-49 National Bodies - Review EWOS OSE Conformance Testing Documents 'EGT009R2, Vocabulary' and 'EGT0059, Analysis' which are available in Word format at http://www.ewos.be/ct/edocs.htm and provide feed back to Dave Raynor (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Feb. 1997.
Closed. These documents were not at the URL given, however they were found, reviewed, and there is no feedback.
9610-53 National Bodies - Notify Keld Simonsen of any available experts in the area of LID and/or IDL usage.
Closed. Canada has no available experts in the area of LID and/or IDL usage.
9610-61 National Bodies - Submit the names of any additional experts who might wish to take part in the Interpretations work, to the Convener by 1996.12.31.
Closed. Canada has no additional experts who might wish to take part in the interpretations work.
9610-62 National Bodies - Review the proposed records of response and submit any comments to the WG15 reflector and be prepared to discuss them at the May 1997 WG15 meeting. Any comments requiring change MUST be submitted in writing to the Convener by 1997.04.01.
Closed. No comments.
9610-65 National Bodies - Consider changing the frequency of WG15 meetings to be on an annual basis.
Open. Canada has no objection to changing the frequency of WG15 meetings (after the October 1997 meeting), however given that we potentially have an eight year backlog of interpretations work that may need to be reviewed, we would prefer to reserve comment until the workload has been reviewed.
The October 1997 meeting will be held from October 20-23 inclusive at the NavCanada (formerly Transport Canada) Training Institute in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Delegates are encouraged to plan on arriving on Sunday, October 19, 1997. A reception is currently planned for that evening and a group dinner is planned for the evening of Wednesday, October 22, 1997. Anyone requiring accommodations prior to the 19th or later than the 22nd or requiring other than single accommodations should contact David Blackwood (email@example.com) as soon as possible. All reservations must also be made through David Blackwood and should be finalized not later than June 20, 1997. Finally, anyone requiring transportation from the Ottawa or Montreal (Dorval) or Montreal (Mirabel) airports to Cornwall should also contact David Blackwood for more information and/or arrangements. A variety of transportation options may be available depending on the date, time, place, and mode of arrival. A list of relevant URLs will be posted to the email reflector during the next couple of weeks.
