Etiquette

Observing a few simple rules of dance etiquette will make the evening more enjoyable for everyone.

Don't pinch someone else's seat.
Don't push your chair out onto the dance floor.
Don't ask the musician to play your favourite dance.
Don't step backwards without first looking.
Don't chit-chat in the middle of the dance floor.

Do respect slower-moving couples in the ballroom dances.
Do give other dancers space in the latin dances.
Do stand up for sequence dances before the music has started.
Do, gentlemen, escort your lady back to her seat.
Do walk around the dancers when on the way to or from the bar.
Do smile and have an enjoyable evening.
